PTFE compensator is reliable, did you know? |
Polytetrafluoroethylene bellows compensator (also known as expansion joint) is used to compensate for the displacement and installation deviation of thermal expansion and contraction in pipeline systems with highly corrosive media, and to reduce vibration of the pipeline system.
PTFE compensator has strong reliability. Since many customers have concerns about its reliability, our company will give you an explanation on its reliability below.
The reliability of PTFE compensator is composed of multiple links such as design, manufacturing, installation and operation management. Reliability should also be considered from these aspects. Regarding the selection of materials, we will give a detailed introduction:
Material Selection: In addition to the working medium, working temperature and external environment, the material selection of corrugated pipes used in heating pipe networks should also consider the possibility of stress corrosion, the impact of water treatment agents and pipe cleaning agents on materials, etc. On this basis, economical and practical bellows production materials are selected based on the welding and forming of bellows materials and the performance-price ratio of the materials.
Generally speaking, the material selected for bellows should meet the following conditions:
(1) High elasticity, tensile strength and fatigue strength to ensure the normal operation of the bellows;
(2) Good plasticity makes it easy to process and form corrugated pipes, and can obtain sufficient hardness and strength through subsequent processing processes (cold work hardening, heat treatment, etc.);
(3) Good corrosion resistance to meet the working requirements of bellows in different environments;
(4) Good welding performance, meeting the welding process requirements during the production process of bellows.
